The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a rescheduling of the Civil Services Personality Test (Interview) for a section of candidates who had cleared the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination and were shortlisted for the final stage.
According to the official notification, the change has been necessitated due to the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.
Which Interview Has Been Postponed?
As per UPSC, the interview that was earlier scheduled for an affected slot (likely the afternoon session of 22 January 2026) has been postponed. The commission clarified that there was a mix-up in earlier communication, and the revised date has now been officially confirmed.
New UPSC Interview Date and Time
The postponed interview will now be conducted on:
- Date: Friday, 27 February 2026
- Session: Forenoon (Morning)
- Reporting Time: 9:00 AM
UPSC has stated that no other interview dates have been changed, and the rescheduling applies only to candidates from the affected slot.

New Delhi
Candidates scheduled for afternoon sessions on other dates (where applicable) will continue to report at 1:00 PM, as previously notified.
Documents Required for UPSC Personality Test
Candidates must carry the following original documents on the day of the interview:
- e-Summon Letter (e-Admit Card)
- Original educational certificates and mark sheets (including graduation degree)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Valid photo identity proof
- Passport-size photographs
