Uttar Pradesh has overcome decades of struggle and policy neglect to emerge from the ‘Bimaru’ category and establish itself as one of India’s key growth engines, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday while extending greetings on the state’s foundation day.
In a video message shared on his official X handle, the chief minister said the state has undergone a significant transformation by addressing long-standing challenges and reversing years of administrative indifference.
Cultural Resurgence from Ayodhya to Kashi
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s cultural revival, Adityanath said a new chapter of resurgence is being written from Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura to Sambhal. He noted that the state is moving decisively from an era of disorder to one of celebration and pride.
“Uttar Pradesh has been a centre of India’s culture, literature, music, art and spiritual consciousness since ancient times,” he said, adding that the dignity of Ayodhya, the eternal consciousness of Kashi, the devotion of Braj Dham and the harmony of Prayagraj have shaped India’s cultural ethos for centuries.
Focus on Inclusive Development and Governance
The chief minister said that while preserving its rich cultural and spiritual heritage, Uttar Pradesh is advancing on the path of inclusive development.
“With firm resolve, we have established good governance and the rule of law and generated large-scale employment in the state,” Adityanath said.
Message to the UP Diaspora
In a separate post, Adityanath extended greetings to people from Uttar Pradesh living abroad, acknowledging their contribution to enhancing the state’s and the nation’s global reputation.
“Our government is fully committed to linking your experience and knowledge with Uttar Pradesh’s development journey,” he said.
