Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath held a comprehensive dialogue meeting with people’s representatives of the Lucknow division at his official residence in the state capital, reaffirming the government’s commitment to timely, transparent, and quality implementation of development schemes.
During the interaction, which included 42 MLAs and 5 Legislative Council members from Lucknow, Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Sitapur, and Lakhimpur Kheri, the Chief Minister emphasized that the experience and grassroots insights of public representatives are vital in formulating policies that reflect the aspirations of citizens.
Dialogue as a Link of Trust
Calling the interaction a “link of trust between government and society,” Mr. Adityanath said the state is sensitive to every public interest issue. He warned that unnecessary delays in implementation would not be tolerated and asserted that fair and efficient monitoring is a top government priority.
Development Worth Rs. 42,891 Crore Proposed
The CM disclosed that the state government had received 3,397 development proposals from the Lucknow division, amounting to Rs. 42,891 crore. He instructed that the suggestions of public representatives be taken seriously and district-specific identities be respected while framing development strategies.
He also underlined the historical and cultural richness of the division — from Lucknow’s modernity and Awadhi heritage to Hardoi’s spiritual tradition, Rae Bareli’s literary and revolutionary background, Unnao’s links to Chandrashekhar Azad, and Sitapur’s religious legacy, especially Naimisharanya.
Projects to be Prioritized
The CM directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to act swiftly on proposals related to road construction, bridges, ROBs/RUBs, flyovers, and black spot improvement. He stressed the need for connecting district headquarters with four-lane roads and block headquarters with two-lane roads and called for priority construction of roads in villages of martyrs and public representatives.
Mr. Adityanath also asked the Tourism Department to identify and develop at least one tourist spot in each assembly constituency, and instructed the Urban Development Department to prepare plans only after consultation with local MLAs. He said Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremonies should commence after September 15 and must involve the elected representatives.
