Uttar Pradesh Launches Free Residential and Abhyuday Coaching to Empower 23,000+ Students for Competitive Exams

CM Yogi Adityanath’s initiative provides free coaching, study material, and mentorship for UPSC, PCS, NEET, JEE, and other major exams, supporting meritorious and economically weaker students across Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow: In a major step towards youth empowerment, the Uttar Pradesh government is running eight free residential coaching centers and 150 Chief Minister Abhyuday coaching centers to provide students with free training for competitive exams such as UPSC, PCS, NEET, and JEE. More than 23,000 students have benefitted so far, receiving guidance, study material, and structured coaching. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stressed that no talented student should be left behind due to financial constraints.

Residential and Abhyuday Coaching Programs

The Social Welfare Department has launched two types of coaching initiatives:

  • Residential Coaching: Provides free coaching for PCS main examination aspirants along with hostel facilities, meals, library access, and mentorship.
  • Abhyuday Coaching: Offers free classes and study material for a wide range of exams including UPSC, UPPCS, SSC, banking, NDA, CDS, JEE, NEET, B.Ed, and TET, though it does not provide boarding facilities.

Wide Reach Across the State

This year, 23,801 students have registered in the 150 Abhyuday coaching centers. Registration details include:

  • Civil Services: 8,663
  • NEET: 5,574
  • JEE: 2,018
  • NDA/CDS: 801
  • Other Exams: 6,745

Students are provided with comprehensive study materials, question banks, and exam-focused resources to ensure systematic preparation.

Free Residential PCS Coaching in Lucknow

The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj Research and Training Institute in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, offers free residential coaching for male candidates from SC, ST, and OBC categories with a family income of up to ₹6 lakh. So far, 46 candidates have registered: 19 SC, 2 ST, and 25 OBC.

The program includes free hostel accommodation, meals, library access, expert-led classes, regular answer-writing practice, model tests, and exam pattern-based sessions to prepare candidates effectively.

Abhyuday Coaching Changes the Lives of Aspirants

The Abhyuday coaching centers have become a crucial platform for young aspirants. Shruti Shravan, who secured 882nd rank in UPSC CSE 2023, credited the program for helping her strengthen preparation, improve performance, and achieve success.

Government Focus on Talent and Inclusion

Through these residential and Abhyuday coaching programs, the UP government is ensuring that talented students from economically weaker backgrounds receive high-quality coaching and guidance. The initiative underscores the state’s commitment to fostering education, skill development, and career opportunities for its youth.
