Dehradun: – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated a series of development projects in the Kedarpuram area under the Dehradun Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. Among the key highlights were the inauguration of a modern Yoga Park, the launch of an AI-based chatbot ‘Nigam Sarathi’, and the unveiling of the Green Policy document.
Yoga Park to Promote Wellness and Community Engagement
Speaking at the event, CM Dhami said the newly inaugurated Yoga Park in Kedarpuram will promote health, wellness, and environmental consciousness among the residents. He emphasized that the park will soon become a hub for fitness and social activities, supporting the state’s broader vision of holistic well-being.
The Chief Minister reiterated the state’s commitment to establishing Uttarakhand as the global capital of yoga and spirituality. In line with this vision, the state had earlier introduced the country’s first Yoga Policy on International Yoga Day this year, and is now working on establishing Spiritual Economic Zones in both Garhwal and Kumaon regions.

AI Chatbot ‘Nigam Sarathi’ Launched for Better Civic Services
A major digital governance initiative was also rolled out with the launch of ‘Nigam Sarathi’, an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot. Designed to assist citizens with queries related to municipal services, the chatbot aims to improve transparency, responsiveness, and accessibility within the municipal framework.
100,000th Tree Planted Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign
As part of the state’s green initiative, CM Dhami planted a Rudraksha sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign. The sapling marked the 100,000th tree planted in the Dehradun Municipal Corporation area this year, symbolizing the government’s strong focus on environmental sustainability.

Recognition of Civic Workers and Anti-Drug Pledge
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister also honored sanitation champions and tax inspectors for their dedicated service. In recognition of the 5th anniversary of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ (Drug-Free India Campaign), he led attendees in a collective anti-drug pledge and reiterated the state’s zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse.
He shared that over the past three years, more than 4,000 individuals have been arrested in anti-drug operations and narcotics worth ₹203 crore have been seized. Dhami appealed to the youth to completely say “no” to drugs for a better and brighter future.
