Ease of Access and Citizen Convenience
CM Dhami highlighted that the new portals, developed using science, IT, and AI, will significantly reduce the need for citizens to visit government offices, saving both time and effort. “These portals will simplify revenue-related work, allowing citizens to verify land records, apply for permissions, and complete transactions from the comfort of their homes,” he said.
Digital Verification of Land Records
Particularly, land records such as Khatauni (record of land holdings) can now be verified online, with payments made digitally through secure gateways. Earlier, citizens had to visit the Tehsil offices for certified copies, which consumed time and resources. The updated e-Bhooleh portal allows instant access to verified documents without physical visits.
Transparency and Online Permissions
The Chief Minister added that applications for land use and permissions for industrial and agricultural purposes are now fully online. Additionally, cadastral maps are freely accessible in the public domain, enhancing transparency and public access to land information.
Promoting Ease of Living and Governance
CM Dhami said the new portals align with the Digital India initiative, modern governance practices, and the state’s vision for a developed Uttarakhand. “These six web applications will not only improve administrative transparency but also promote ease of doing business and ease of living for citizens,” he noted.
Transforming Citizen Experience
Previously, obtaining certified copies of land records required multiple visits to Tehsil offices, causing delays and additional expenditure. With the launch of these online portals, citizens can now complete most revenue-related work from home, streamlining processes and reducing administrative burden.
This initiative is expected to revolutionize revenue services in Uttarakhand, offering convenience, transparency, and efficiency for citizens while supporting the state’s digital transformation goals.
