New Delhi: In recent administrative updates, IPS officer Veerendra Kumar Mishra has been selected for a central deputation posting in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), while IAS officer Arti Kanwar has resigned from her role as Non-Executive Director of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) following her transfer.
Veerendra Kumar Mishra to Join MHA
- Officer Details: Veerendra Kumar Mishra, IPS 2012 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre.
- Post: Appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of four years.
- Effective Date: As per the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) order issued on December 29, 2025:
If Mishra assumes charge on or before December 31, 2025, he will serve as Deputy Secretary.
If he assumes charge from January 1, 2026, he will be appointed as Director in MHA from January 1, 2026, and his tenure will continue until December 31, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
This posting follows recommendation for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, reflecting Mishra’s seniority and credentials within the IPS.
Arti Kanwar Resigns from GMDC Board
