Vice President Dhankar Addresses 2022-batch Assistant Secys At VP Enclave, New Delhi

On June 3rd, the Vice President of India, Mr. Jagdeep Dhankar, addressed the Assistant Secretaries of the IAS 2022 batch during the Vice President’s enclave. During the event, VP Dhankar stressed that civil servants should always see things beyond the partisan approach and mentioned how Civil servants must not ingratiate with the political dispensation.

While addressing young Assistant Secretaries as “inspiration and motivational force for young minds,” Mr. Dhankhar urged the civil servants to uphold the highest ethical principles. He said, “You are a conveyance of change. You are vital stakeholders in quality governance and torchbearers for accelerated growth. You people are especially ordained by the constitution to bring about change.”

Along with Vice President Dhankar, Ms. S. Radha Chauhan (1988-batch IAS officer), the Secretary in DoPT, Mr. Rajit Punhani (1991-batch IAS officer), the Secretary of Rajya Sabha, Ms. Nila Mohanan (2007-batch IAS officer), Joint Secretary in DoPT, other officials of the Vice-President Secretariat, officer trainees and other dignitaries were also present in the event.
