Vijayakumar J Jayaraman, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch from Madhya Pradesh, is currently working as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Space, Bengaluru. He has now been promoted to the post of Director.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on December 26, 2024, approving his re-designation.His new role will take effect from January 1, 2025, or the date he assumes charge of the post.This tenure as Director will last until April 7, 2027, completing a total of five years under the central staffing scheme. Let it be noted that Vijayakumar started his central deputation tenure on April 8, 2022.
