Senior IAS officer Vikas Raj has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana. The Election issued a notification on Wednesday in regards to Mr. Raj appointment saying that the decision was taken in consultation with the State Government.
A 1992 batch IAS officer Mr. Raj is presently serving in the General Administration department. He has replaced Shashank Goel who had been transferred to the Union Labour Ministry.
