Vishal Sethia has been appointed as the Company Secretary and Board Secretary of Bank of Maharashtra with effect from May 12, 2025. He has also been designated as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) under the regulatory framework.
In his new role, Sethia will be among the authorized officials empowered to determine the materiality of events or information and to ensure timely disclosures to stock exchanges, as per SEBI regulations. The three authorized officials for such disclosures include the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Chief Compliance Officer.
Vishal Sethia is a qualified Company Secretary and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), bearing membership number A58069. In addition, he is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), bringing a multifaceted professional background to his new responsibilities.
With over 12 years of experience in the banking industry, Sethia brings deep expertise in compliance, governance, and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Bank of Maharashtra, he served at Indian Bank, where he held key positions in the compliance and corporate governance verticals.
His appointment is expected to strengthen the bank’s corporate governance practices and regulatory compliance framework, as Bank of Maharashtra continues to reinforce its commitment to transparency and accountability.
