Uttarakhand Govt Distributes ₹17.67 Crore Scholarships to 21,743 Meritorious Students Under Various Schemes

Dehradun: The government led by Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a major step to encourage academic excellence by providing scholarships to 21,743 meritorious students across the state. Under multiple scholarship schemes, the Uttarakhand government has distributed more than ₹17.67 crore so far to support talented students in continuing their education.

Officials say the initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent bright students from pursuing their studies.

Chief Minister Medhavi Student Incentive Scheme Benefits Most Students

Among the various scholarship initiatives, the Chief Minister Medhavi Student Incentive Scholarship Scheme has emerged as the most successful program in the state.

Under this scheme alone, 17,852 students have received financial support. The initiative is designed to motivate academically talented students and help them achieve their educational goals.

The government believes that encouraging meritorious students today will help build a strong and skilled generation for the future.

Scholarships of ₹600 to ₹1200 for Students from Classes 6 to 12

During the fourth day of the budget session of the Uttarakhand Assembly, Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat informed the House that students from Class 6 to Class 12 are receiving scholarships ranging from ₹600 to ₹1200 under the scheme.

The financial assistance is aimed at rewarding academic excellence while supporting students who require financial help to continue their education.

Multiple Scholarship Schemes to Support Students

The Uttarakhand government is not limited to a single scholarship program. Instead, it has introduced multiple schemes tailored to different student needs.

These initiatives are helping to boost students’ motivation towards education and encouraging them to perform better academically. The government’s focus remains on identifying talented students and ensuring they receive the support needed to progress in their academic journey.

Sainik School Students Also Included in the Scheme

Students studying in Sainik Schools have also been brought under the scope of these scholarship programs. This move has not only boosted the morale of students but has also provided financial relief to their families.

Authorities have stated that the scholarship distribution process is being conducted with complete transparency, ensuring that the financial assistance reaches eligible students without delay.
