WAPCOS Ltd, a government-owned consultancy firm specializing in water resources and infrastructure, has been awarded a key contract in Ethiopia. The project involves providing consultancy services for design review, construction supervision, contract management, operations and maintenance (O&M), and capacity building for Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) in Jigjiga and Degahbour towns of the Somali Region.
Contract and Funding Details
The contract was signed with the Somali Regional State Water Bureau and is funded by the World Bank through Ethiopia’s Ministry of Water & Energy. This collaboration reflects an important step towards improving sanitation infrastructure in the region.
