UP CM Yogi Adityanath targets RJD and Congress for criminal ties, touts 'double-engine' governance for Bihar’s growth and security in crucial election rallies.

Lakhnow/Bihar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made significant strides in Bihar’s political arena ahead of the state’s Assembly elections. With his increasing engagement in Bihar’s political landscape, CM Yogi is addressing both the state’s ongoing challenges and promoting his vision for a ‘development-oriented’ government.

During his visit to Bihar, CM Yogi took a strong stance against the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leader Tejashwi Yadav, attacking the political environment that has been shaped by ‘mafia raj’ and corruption. Addressing rallies in Siwan’s Raghunathpur and Buxar’s Shahpur, CM Yogi directly confronted the influence of notorious criminal elements in the state’s politics, particularly in regions like Siwan, which is seen as the stronghold of infamous gangster-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin.

A Strong Anti-Mafia Stance:

In his speech, CM Yogi invoked the image of the ‘bulldozer’—a symbol of his government’s crackdown on illegal structures and criminal elements in Uttar Pradesh. As soon as he arrived on stage in Siwan, his supporters welcomed him with a bulldozer model, to which CM Yogi responded with a smile, saying, “In Uttar Pradesh, this bulldozer runs over the mafia so swiftly that it leaves no time for opposition parties like the Samajwadi Party (SP) and its allies to even offer prayers.” He emphasized that the fight in Bihar was “Mafia Raj vs. Development Raj.”

Targeting Criminal Elements and Political Corruption:

CM Yogi also turned his attention to the RJD’s candidate in Siwan, Osama Shahab—son of the notorious Mohammad Shahabuddin. He criticized the party for fielding a candidate with criminal ties, sarcastically remarking, “Look at the name, Osama Shahab. Just like the name, so is the work.” He further denounced the Congress, RJD, and SP for “embracing criminals” and accused them of bringing back the “jungle raj” that had plagued Bihar for years. According to CM Yogi, under RJD rule, Bihar had witnessed the rise of criminal syndicates that overshadowed the state’s governance and development.

Ram Mandir and BJP’s Religious Identity:

On a religious note, CM Yogi highlighted the ongoing construction of the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, accusing the Congress and RJD of opposing the temple’s foundation. He recalled how the RJD had attempted to obstruct the Ram Mandir Rath Yatra, a significant movement for Hindus. “Ram Mandir is now a reality. We had always said, ‘Ram Lalla hum aayenge, Mandir wahi banayenge’ and today, that promise has been fulfilled,” CM Yogi said, receiving applause from the audience.

A Call for Development:

In his speeches, CM Yogi promoted the idea of “double-engine” governance, claiming that only a BJP-led government could bring Bihar the necessary development and security. He pointed out how the state had transformed from being ruled by ‘mafia raj’ to a safer and more prosperous region under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, particularly emphasizing the NDA government’s 20-year effort in pushing Bihar towards growth.

Security for Women and Zero Tolerance Policy:

Another key issue CM Yogi addressed was women’s safety. He assured the public that under the BJP’s governance, there would be zero tolerance for crimes against women, in contrast to the insecure environment under Congress and RJD rule. “Under the RJD and Congress rule, women’s safety was left to fate. Since 2005, Bihar has been freed from the mafia rule under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and is now on the path of development,” he stated.

The Future of Bihar’s Growth:

CM Yogi ended his speeches with a strong call for progress, urging the people of Bihar to choose the “double-engine government” which, according to him, could bring about development at the speed of a bullet train. He cautioned against allowing the state to regress back into the chaotic and corrupt “mafia raj” that had previously held it back.

With his direct attacks on criminal-politician alliances and promises of development and safety, CM Yogi’s campaign in Bihar aims to build momentum for the upcoming Assembly elections and shift the political narrative in favor of the BJP and its allies.
