Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday praised the development initiatives in Vikas Khand Jungle Kaudiya, Gorakhpur, during the inauguration of the renovated Block Development Officer (BDO) office. The CM also highlighted a new centre for the conservation, breeding, and medical treatment of the king vulture and emphasized the block’s relatively pollution-free environment compared to Delhi.

Development Milestones in Jungle Kaudiya

CM Yogi extended gratitude to the Vikas Khand Jungle Kaudiya chief, stating that the block has seen remarkable development:

  • Enhanced connectivity: Commute from Jungle Kaudiya to Lucknow now takes 3 hours

“The king vulture was dying due to the use of chemical pesticides. Now a centre has been established for the conservation and breeding of Jatayu…”

He further praised the clean and breathable environment of the block, contrasting it with the pollution levels in Delhi.

Tribute to Pulwama Martyrs

Earlier on Saturday, CM Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to the soldiers killed in the Pulwama terrorist attack. In a social media post, he recalled their valour, sacrifice, and patriotism, stating:

“Salutations to all the brave sons of Mother India who made the supreme sacrifice in the cowardly terrorist attack in Pulwama. Their sacrifice is a proclamation of the invincible resolve of Indian valour, inspiring us to eradicate terrorism from its roots. Jai Hind.”

Clean and Sustainable Development Focus

The Chief Minister emphasized that development and environmental sustainability can go hand-in-hand, showcasing Jungle Kaudiya as a model block where growth has been achieved without compromising on air quality or ecological balance.

This initiative reflects UP’s broader focus on infrastructure development, wildlife conservation, and public welfare, strengthening education, connectivity, and environmental protection simultaneously.
