Diwali, the festival of lights, is here and there is excitement in the air and vibrancy in the markets as people are thronging to the shops for the last minute Diwali shopping. Homes are adorned with colourful lights and households are agog with excitement as family members engage in preparations for the much awaited festival of the year.
However, in the midst of these festive scenes and family reunions, are those people who toil day and night even during the festival to ensure we have a safe Diwali. They are the police personnel who have to be on duty to ensure law and order during the festival days. They do not get to take part in the festivities at home with their family members so that we can enjoy Diwali safely with our friends and families.
Sparing a thought for these selfless soldiers of the country, senior IAS officer Awanish Sharan has shared a touching video that highlights the importance of empathy in senior-junior relationship at work, to be able to place oneself in the shoes of the other and understand their situation.
Watch the video that sends out a poignant message with a beautiful ending.
