In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh, CDO of Deoria, 2004 batch UP PCS officer Ravindra Kumar, was transferred. He was promoted to the rank of IAS officer and now will be the Staff Officer of the Chief Secretary.
Hearing on hearing the news of his transfer, a district primary school’s students hugged him and cried bitterly. The video of the crying children went viral and netizens are reacting to it.
Mr. Kumar was honoured by the people of the district with farewell ceremonies at various places. In a function organized at the Primary School Ruchhapar, the school girls hugged the CDO Saheb and started crying. Seeing this, the teachers, parents, and other people present there also became emotional.
According to reports, the officer had adopted this school only a year ago. He pays the fees of poor children studying there. Within a short time, he had become very popular among both students and parents of the school.
