Social media got enthralled over DSP Santosh Patel’s story, who passed MPPCS exam in only 15 months preparations. Santosh Patel, a resident of Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, had stopped studying at one point of time, but when he started again, he did it and passed the MPPSC exam in just 15 months.

In a video on social media, he has shared the story of becoming a hero from zero. He says that after completing his schooling, he did engineering from a government college, but in the desire to earn more money while doing engineering, he sidelined his studies.

However, later he started studies once again. In an interview, Santosh Patel told that he started studying on August 3, 2015 and on October 1, 2016 he became final for DSP. He also told about how these 15 months passed. He said that he never went to coaching, but did self-study. He believes that coaching has become a business nowadays. In such a situation, it is best to read from the book by yourself. He said that those preparing for the Mains exam that in ‘Mains’ – consider M as mine and S as success. That is, my aim is to achieve success.

During the preparation of PSC, he studied Mains only. This was his target. He didn’t pay much attention to prelims. “Mains is a big exam in itself. Preparation for this has to be done from the beginning. Notes have to be made by writing, only then it is possible to pass it. Special care has to be taken not to miss questions in the examination,” he added.

He said that practice has to be done only by writing, which will inculcate the habit. Keep two to three books with you because their language style is different, but the facts and figures are the same. At the same time, do not consider any subject as weak, pay attention to all the subjects. Pay attention to the topics which are important in today’s time. Go to the PSC website and see the old year papers, you will get to learn a lot from them.
