ABOUT RINKU SINGH
Rinku Singh comes from a poor family and he had to face many difficulties before he tasted fame in life.
Rinku hails from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, and plays domestic cricket for UP. He is the third of 5 siblings. Rinku’s father’s financial condition has never been good and delivered gas cylinders to bring up his kids.
Rinku was fond of cricket since childhood, but his father did not want his son to waste his time in cricket.
Despite several beatings for pursuing his passion, Rinku as a child never let go of his aim. To ease with financial condition of the family, he had decided to get a job. But not being well educated, he could only manage sweeping and mopping at a coaching center. That, however, did not last long as he quit.
He then put all his focus on cricket. After failing twice in the under-16 trials, his hard work finally paid off when in 2014 he got a chance to debut in List-A and T20 cricket for Uttar Pradesh. In the IPL 2017 auction, Rinku was bought by Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) for Rs 10 lakh.
And now, everything has changed, Rinku has become a superstar.
