There are many lessons to be learned from animals. Man’s best friend, dog, teaches us what faithfulness is all about. The king of the jungle, lion, shows us what regality is. However, the same lion also teaches us that sometimes, it is better to retreat when the opponent is on a stronger wicket. The idea is not to give up but wait for the opportune time to attack, when the enemy is on a sticky wicket and your win is certain.
Senior IAS officer M V Rao posted a video of two wild buffaloes and a lion, where the latter is seen taking steps backwards when one of the buffaloes turns back to face him instead of following its running companion.
The video captures the moment when the wild buffalo, with the lion on its tail, stops and turns around menacingly to face the chasing predator, which makes the big cat retreat in fear. A classic case of the hunter becoming the hunted!
The officer has posted this video on X with the caption: “Life begins where fear ends!”
