People join civil services for different reasons. But serving common people is their main reason behind this coveted job. In a video going viral on the internet, Jaipur’s collector can be seen listening to a complainant making him sit on table. This caught the attention of many bureaucrats and netizens including 1995 batch senior IPS officer Dinesh MN.
Mr. Dinesh tweeted, “Administration is more a matter of Heart than Head. Prakash Purohit IAS, Collector Jaipur listening to a complainant making him sit on table because of his condition. Kudos to such young and empathetic officers and may their numbers increase.”
The 2010 batch IAS officer Prakash Purohit’s video is getting much love on social media, and more than people are talking about his sensitivity and dealing issues with such good manner. Mr Dinesh’s tweet immediately went viral and till now, it has got more than 68 thousand views, 2800 likes and 483 retweet.
People are not only showering their love on collector’s action, but also reacting on it. Senior journalist Anil Sharma wrote, “No doubt Jaipur collector, Prakash Rajpurohit is a sensitive officer.” While an another user said, “Commendable! We need this type of officers, not those with ego.”
