Did you now that a ‘Little Tibet’ exists in Odisha? Well, apparently it does! It lies hidden amidst breathtaking nature in calm meditative stillness.
2022 batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre, Sneha Arugula, who is undergoing district training in Sambalpur, revealed this secret place with her photographs on social media platform X. Identifying the regal structure as the Jirang Monastery, she calls the place “Odisha’s Little Tibet”.
So, next time you are badly in need of some quiet, reflective time, head to Odisha and spend some quality time with yourself, diving deep into self-introspection and emerging calmer and wiser from the depths of this hidden spiritual gem.
See it to believe it. Here is the officer’s post:
Jirang Monastery, Odisha's little Tibet, is one among the 6 settlements for 1959 Tibetan refugees. This modern Buddhist learning hub exudes meditational calmness amidst breathtaking natural beauty.
