IAS officer Kritika Mishra, who achieved 66th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022, shared a reliable strategy for clearing India’s toughest competitive examination in 90 days! Hailing from Kanpur, Ms. Mishra is one of the few UPSC Hindi Medium toppers who frequently take to social media to share valuable tips for UPSC aspirants to help them crack the exam.
Here is what she said:
-Analysing the paper pattern is a ‘must-do’ for all aspirants, and one can do so by following the Previous years’ Questions (PYQs) to get a holistic grasp of the fathomless UPSC syllabus.
-Religiously follow the NCERT and Laxmikant textbooks as they have answers to most of the questions asked in the UPSC CSE.
– Inculcate the habit of devouring relevant newspapers as they are regarded as the most reliable source for staying informed about current affairs.
– Start the preparation by taking mock tests and then reviewing the solutions thoroughly. Include CSAT along with the regular preparation of general studies to prevent last-minute strain before the prelims.
-Read the question with great diligence, as in General Studies, one can use logical reasoning to find the correct answer.
She also stressed on the necessity of harbouring a positive outlook during the overwhelming journey of preparing for the UPSC exam.
