In a heartwarming display of dedication and expertise, the team at Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) has managed to rescue and revive a young tusker in distress. The tusker, suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, was given prompt medical attention by experienced veterinarians, leading to a remarkable recovery.
Under the vigilant care of the forest department and wildlife experts, the tusker not only regained enough strength to stand but also displayed spirited vigor by chasing the treatment team. With renewed vitality, the tusker safely retreated back into the embrace of the forest, much to the delight and relief of the entire rescue team.
IAS officer Supriya Sahu took to the social media platform X to share the news. In her tweet, she wrote: “Well done FD Mudumalai, DD MTR buffer, vets, and the entire forest team.”
