The Chhattisgarh government continues to strengthen its commitment to citizen-centric and transparent governance. A “Good Governance Dialogue” program was held at the Ministry’s Mahanadi Bhawan Auditorium in Raipur, chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai. The event was attended by Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, Education Minister Mr. Gajendra Yadav, Chief Secretary Mr. Vikas Sheel, and other senior officials.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that government innovations must be long-term, practical, and focused on simplifying citizens’ lives. He said, “Innovations should not be arbitrary experiments; they must be designed to enhance convenience and strengthen flagship government programs.”
Public Service and Transparency at the Core of Governance
The Chief Minister urged officials to keep public service, accountability, and transparency at the heart of every policy innovation. He directed departments to actively seek public feedback to ensure impactful implementation.
He further observed that some district-level innovations lose relevance due to a lack of continuity and said that such good practices must be institutionalized for long-term benefit.
Highlighting the importance of the Public Service Guarantee Act, Mr. Sai said that timely and quality service delivery is a fundamental right of citizens. He cautioned that delays or negligence by responsible officials would invite strict action.
Mr. Sai also appreciated ongoing efforts to remove obsolete documents and improve office discipline, describing them as key steps toward administrative modernization.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai Orders 100% Implementation of E-Governance Systems
Calling the e-office system the strongest pillar of good governance, Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai issued clear instructions to all departments to ensure 100% implementation of the digital framework within the stipulated timeframe.
He said the goal is to eliminate manual dependencies, convert all pending files to a digital format, and integrate more citizen services into the e-district portal. He also directed the launch of a statewide digital awareness campaign to educate citizens about available online services.
“The digitization of every citizen service is the biggest step towards transparent and efficient governance,” Mr. Sai stated.
Recognizing Innovation: Local Success Stories from Raipur to Dantewada
During the event, innovations from Raipur, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Jashpur, and the Udanti Sanctuary were showcased. The Chief Minister also released a coffee table book featuring successful governance innovations across districts.
Mr. Sai commended initiatives such as Jashpur’s “Jashpure” brand and Mahua Center of Excellence, Narayanpur’s Intify Data Platform, and Dantewada’s land records digitization project.
“Good governance is not a one-day affair; it is a process of continuous improvement,” said the Chief Minister. “Small, consistent innovations will collectively create the big picture of a developed Chhattisgarh.”
He further encouraged officials to engage directly with citizens, evaluate ground-level impact, and make technology and discipline a permanent part of administrative culture.
Chhattisgarh’s March Toward Digital, Transparent, and Accountable Governance
The “Good Governance Dialogue” marks a significant step in the Chhattisgarh government’s mission to institutionalize digital reforms, strengthen service delivery, and foster public trust. Under the leadership of Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, the focus remains on efficiency, inclusivity, and transparency, ensuring that governance truly reaches every citizen.
These initiatives reflect the state’s resolve to transform administrative practices through innovation, digitization, and participatory governance, paving the way for a modern and developed Chhattisgarh.
