In a landmark initiative aimed at empowering local youth, the Dhanbad District Administration has announced free coaching for students preparing for Public Service Commission (PSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), banking, railway, and other competitive exams. The program seeks to remove financial barriers posed by expensive coaching institutes and ensure equal opportunities for talented students.
Prestigious Institutes to Conduct Courses Locally
Under the direction of the District Planning Department, renowned coaching institutes from across the country have been invited to conduct these courses at RSP College, Belgadia. District Planning Officer Mr. Mukesh Bauri emphasized that students will no longer have to travel outside the district for quality preparation, saving both time and resources.
Program Duration and Capacity
The free coaching initiative will span two years, with each batch lasting six months. Two batches will run simultaneously, each accommodating 50 students, allowing 200 students to benefit over the course of the program. Mr. Bauri added that the number of students could be adjusted based on demand. Classes will be conducted strictly in offline mode to ensure focused learning.
Selection Process Through Entrance Exam
To ensure merit-based selection, RSP College, Jharia, will release a public advertisement, followed by an entrance examination. Eligibility criteria include passing the 12th grade and being a resident of Dhanbad.
Attendance and Accountability Measures
A strict attendance system will be enforced using Aadhaar-based biometric verification. Teachers are required to maintain 100% attendance, while selected students must have at least 70% attendance to continue receiving the benefits of the program.
This initiative reflects the district administration’s commitment to nurturing talent, bridging educational gaps, and fostering local development by making high-quality coaching accessible to deserving students.
