In a transformative move aimed at reshaping the future of Uttar Pradesh’s youth, the Yogi Adityanath-led government continues to expand the Chief Minister’s Abhyudaya Yojana, a groundbreaking initiative offering free coaching for India’s most competitive exams. This scheme is changing lives in both urban and rural areas of districts like Badaun, Sahaswan, and others, by offering structured, merit-based preparation opportunities for exams such as UPSC, UPPSC, JEE, NEET, NDA, CDS, and SSC.
Coaching for the Nation’s Toughest Exams – Now Absolutely Free
Under this scheme, selected students receive completely free coaching for India’s most prestigious exams including IAS, IPS, IFS, and engineering and medical entrances like JEE and NEET. The initiative also provides digital infrastructure including free tablets and internet packs, ensuring no child is left behind due to financial constraints.
Inclusive Development: Rural Talent Comes Forward
The scheme is especially impactful in rural belts, where youth often lack access to expensive coaching facilities. This year in Badaun alone, 90 out of 100 seats have already been filled by deserving candidates from both urban and rural backgrounds. In the past three years, over 250 students have been trained, many of whom have gone on to secure prominent positions, including civil services and defence roles.
Mr. Nand Kishori, the Nodal Officer for the Abhyudaya Yojana, confirmed that students are selected annually through a merit-based process. Once selected, they receive guidance from expert faculty and administrative officers to ensure top-tier preparation.
Comprehensive Eligibility and Exam Coverage
The Abhyudaya Yojana covers a wide spectrum of exams, empowering a variety of aspirants:
- JEE/NEET: For science stream students in or passed Class 12
- NDA/CDS/SSC: For students in or passed Class 12
- UPSC/UPPSC: For final-year graduation students or graduates
Bridging the Development Gap in Backward Districts
The initiative plays a strategic role in eradicating educational backwardness, particularly in districts like Badaun, often overlooked in the development narrative. It fosters inclusive growth and equitable opportunities, aligning with the state government’s broader mission of social justice and youth development.
The Bigger Picture: Strategic Investment in Human Capital
The Chief Minister’s Abhyudaya Yojana represents more than just an educational intervention. It is a strategic investment in human capital, enhancing employment prospects, boosting state competitiveness, and preparing Uttar Pradesh’s youth to contribute to national development at the highest levels of administration, science, medicine, and defence.
Future Outlook: A Model for Other States?
With visible success stories and increasing enrollment, this model could serve as a blueprint for other Indian states. If scaled effectively, such schemes could fundamentally change the landscape of public-sector recruitment and rural youth empowerment across the country.
