The 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World took place in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, bringing together eminent jurists from across the globe. Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath joined the event, which commenced with captivating performances by children, symbolizing hope, harmony, and the future of global justice.
India’s Vision of ‘One World, One Family’ Highlighted
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Yogi Adityanath emphasized that India has upheld the philosophy of considering the entire world as one family for thousands of years. He said that many global crises stem from the lack of meaningful dialogue, and platforms like this conference help bridge that gap.
He noted that education—one of the 16 global goals identified by the United Nations—remains the cornerstone of global progress and human development.
Education, Development, and Global Stability Must Go Hand in Hand
Mr. Yogi stressed the importance of ensuring that children are not overburdened with heavy school bags, emphasizing the need for a balanced and nurturing education system.
He said that in a world struggling with unrest and attempts to undermine each other’s sovereignty, discussions on education, health, and development often lose significance. Therefore, nations must evaluate the level of support needed to safeguard the future of humanity.
Addressing Climate Change, Cybercrime, and New-Age Global Threats
The Chief Minister warned that climate change, cybercrime, and data theft have emerged as major threats to global stability. In such circumstances, he said, justice, morality, and international law must guide humanity toward peace and sustainable growth.
He urged global bodies to raise stronger voices on issues like cybercrime, health security, and global terrorism—challenges that require collective global attention.
Harnessing India’s Civilizational Values for Modern Solutions
Referring to India’s ancient wisdom, Mr. Yogi highlighted the traditional emphasis on protecting the five elements—earth, water, sky, fire, and air—reflecting the country’s long-standing commitment to environmental conservation.
He emphasized that such values can offer practical frameworks for addressing today’s global challenges.
Justice as the Pathway to Global Peace and Human Progress
Concluding his address, Mr. Yogi said that as top jurists from around the world gather, the conference must send a strong message on how justice can resolve humanity’s most pressing problems. According to him, justice should serve as the foundation of equality, security, self-reliance, and a bright future for every citizen.
