In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of making Uttar Pradesh a developed state by 2047, the “Samarth Uttar Pradesh – Vikasvat Uttar Pradesh @2047: Centenary Celebration of Prosperity Maha Abhiyan” has emerged as a symbol of people-driven governance and participatory planning.
Till Tuesday, nodal officers and intellectuals had visited all 75 districts of the state, engaging with a wide range of citizens including students, teachers, farmers, entrepreneurs, voluntary and labour organizations, media representatives, and general public.
Through these interactions, nearly 60 lakh suggestions have been received via the official portal samarthuttarpradesh.up.gov.in, with over 75 percent contributions coming from rural areas—a strong reflection of grassroots engagement in shaping the state’s development roadmap.
Citizens Share Ideas to Build a Developed Uttar Pradesh
From villagers to industrialists, citizens across the state have expressed their ideas for inclusive growth.
- Mr. Rakesh Kumar of Bulandshahr suggested that rural industry and education should be given priority, and that a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model could help prevent migration by generating rural employment.
- Mr. Shakeel Khan emphasized the need for easy loans, technical support, and district-level industrial parks to strengthen MSMEs and make Uttar Pradesh an industrial powerhouse.
- Ms. Nigar Fatima advocated for a single-window system, high-tech manufacturing, and a women’s skills mission to attract more investment.
- Ms. Seema Kumari proposed promoting cottage industries like embroidery, sewing, and incense stick manufacturing.
- Mr. Joginder Singh called for skill-based education from school level to empower youth for self-employment.
Cultural and Tourism Development Tops Local Aspirations
Several citizens also focused on promoting tourism and cultural heritage.
- Mr. Ankit Gupta proposed developing religious sites such as Maa Bela Devi Dham and Shanidev Temple,
- Dr. Sunil Shah recommended constructing a corridor around Belha Devi Temple,
- Ms. Rita Jaiswal and Mr. Ramendra Tripathi emphasized better darshan facilities and cultural revival at tourist spots to enhance pilgrimage tourism.
Ideas for Sports, Education, and Digital Empowerment
- Ms. Geeta Devi from Ballia suggested expanding Khelo India programs at the local level.
- Mr. Pradeep Kumar recommended setting up digital libraries and employment generation centres in villages to boost youth engagement and learning.
Citizens Demand Transparent Governance and Safer Communities
Clean administration and social security were key themes among respondents.
- Mr. Rajkumar Singh from Bareilly called for a system to identify beggars and sadhus, plantation of fruit trees, and implementation of the old pension scheme.
- Ms. Shaista Firoz from Basti emphasized women’s safety, skill development, and child welfare schemes.
- Mr. Rajesh Agnihotri from Ghaziabad urged for clean governance, better law and order, and improved infrastructure.
Youth Lead the Dialogue: 30 Lakh Suggestions from Under-31s
According to the data, the youth have shown maximum participation in shaping the state’s future.
- Around 30 lakh suggestions came from individuals below 31 years of age,
- 26 lakh from those aged 31–60 years, and
- 3 lakh from senior citizens.
This highlights the enthusiastic involvement of the young generation in policymaking and their commitment to Uttar Pradesh’s progress.
Agriculture and Education Top the Priority List
Among all suggestions received, agriculture (16 lakh) and education (15 lakh) have emerged as the most discussed sectors. These are followed by rural development (12 lakh), social welfare (5 lakh), health (4 lakh), livestock (3 lakh), industry (2.5 lakh), and IT-tech (2 lakh).
District-wise, Jaunpur led with the highest number of suggestions, followed by Sambhal, Ghazipur, Pratapgarh, and Bijnor, while Etawah, Mahoba, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Lalitpur recorded comparatively fewer entries.
Statewide Public Campaign Strengthens Communication
A massive awareness and communication campaign has been organized across the state under the Maha Abhiyan. Meetings and seminars have been held in:
- 214 municipalities,
- 18 municipal corporations,
- 63 district panchayats,
- 556 town councils,
- 751 area panchayats, and
- Nearly 50,000 gram panchayats.
These engagements have strengthened communication between citizens, public representatives, and government departments, ensuring that development planning truly reflects the voice of the people.
A Blueprint for 2047: Building a Strong and Developed Uttar Pradesh
The “Samarth Uttar Pradesh – Vikasvat Uttar Pradesh @2047” campaign is not merely an administrative exercise—it is a mass movement for participatory development. Based on the insights gathered, the state government is now preparing a comprehensive Vision Document that will guide Uttar Pradesh’s growth trajectory over the next two decades.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the initiative is creating a bridge between governance and citizens, ensuring that development by 2047 is not only planned but people-powered.
