From Festivals to Footfall: Culture Converts into Capital
Mr. Yogi Adityanath, in a recent post on social media platform X, highlighted the spiritual and cultural revival fueling this tourism boom. Iconic festivals such as the Deepotsav of Ayodhya Dham, Rangotsav of Braj, and Dev Deepawali of Kashi have drawn millions of visitors, making Uttar Pradesh a center of faith-based tourism.
“These festivals are not just events; they are symbols of how heritage is being converted into prosperity, and culture into strength,” tweeted Mr. Adityanath.
He described this growth phase as the “Amrit Kaal of cultural renaissance”, stating that Uttar Pradesh is now paving the way for a Vishwaguru Bharat, connecting the journey from heritage to faith, faith to development, and development to global leadership.

Taking the celebration beyond state boundaries, a “Sardar @150 Unity March” will be held from October 31 to November 26. Each district of Uttar Pradesh will send five youth ambassadors, including athletes and artists, to participate in this symbolic national journey.
The selected youth will travel through four cultural hubs, eventually reaching Karamsad in Gujarat, the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. From there, they will join a 150-kilometre national padayatra culminating in Kevadia, home to the Statue of Unity — the world’s tallest statue.
Thousands of youth from across India will participate in this march, part of the larger Jan Jagran Abhiyan, aimed at promoting national integration and youth engagement.
