Jhansi Sports Festival 2025: CM Yogi Applauds Rising Talent, Boosts Sports Ecosystem

In a powerful show of support for the future of Indian sports, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath graced the 36th Regional Sports Festival of Vidya Bharati Eastern Uttar Pradesh in Jhansi and personally honored medal-winning athletes. The event not only celebrated sporting excellence but also echoed the state’s growing commitment to youth and sports development.

Rudrika Singh Applauded for Khelo India Medal

Among the young stars was Ms. Rudrika Singh, a student of Tara Devi Inter College, who was recognized for her stellar performance in Khelo India 2025. While receiving the honor from the Chief Minister, she said,

“Every dream feels within reach under this government. I want to represent India one day.”

Her recognition signifies how the Yogi-led government is nurturing grassroots athletes by providing them platforms to grow and shine.

Sandhya Rajput Bags Double Gold, Expresses National Aspirations

Another shining talent, Ms. Sandhya Rajput of Maharaja Agrasen Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, clinched first place in the 3000m and 1500m events. The sprinter shared her joy:

“Getting honored by the Chief Minister has inspired me to aim higher. I dream of winning international medals for India.”

She had previously placed second in the SDFI Under-14 competition, showcasing consistency in her performance.

International Medalist Shilu Yadav Lauded for Global Feat

Ms. Shilu Yadav, a student of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Jhansi, was another highlight of the ceremony. Having already made India proud by winning a medal in South Korea, she was honored by CM Yogi for her international triumph.

“This recognition has motivated me to win more for the nation,” said Shilu.

Her success story is a testament to the new sports ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh that supports international-level preparation and exposure.

Kashi Province’s Pallavi Singh Wins Overall Championship

Ms. Pallavi Singh, who secured the overall championship title from Kashi Province, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister:

“The honor boosted my confidence. CM Yogi has truly revolutionized sports infrastructure and morale in the state.”

Sports Policy and Vision: Infrastructure with Inspiration

The smiles and success stories of these athletes reflect the Yogi government’s proactive sports policy, which not only builds state-of-the-art infrastructure but also creates a positive and inclusive sports environment.
