Former Chairman of Union Public Service Commission, Mr. Deepak Gupta, does not believe in retirement. According to the 1974-batch ex-IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, one does not ever retire from work. There is always so much to do, he exclaims!
“Who says one has to retire on retirement? I say, live a full life, as full as you can!”
The ex-Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, who had initiated India’s ambitious National Solar Mission, is leading a very active life even now, speaking on energy, governance, health issues, etc. He has already written four books, prominent among them being History of IAS and Small Things Matter, his memoirs.
Currently, he is also the Honorary Director General of National Solar Energy Federation of India.
