A 1988 batch IPS, Balaji Srivastav has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police, Delhi. The officer is currently serving as the Special CP (vigilance) in Delhi Police and will take additional charge as the Commisioner of Police.
He was earlier appointed as DG (Mizoram) and came back to Delhi this year after getting the transfer. He will take charge as the Commissioner on Wednesday as the present Commissioner of Delhi Police S N Shrivastava will be retiring on that day. i
Union Home Ministry has finalised the name of Srivastav as the next Delhi Police commissioner by the Union Home Ministry.
