The Appointments Committee of Cabinet on Monday has approved the appointment of two senior IPS officers of 1988 batch, Manoj Yadava and U C Sarangi.
IPS officer Manoj Yadava who is an Additional Director, IB has been appointed as Special Director in Intelligence Bureau for a tenure of two years and IPS officer U C Sarangi has been appointed as Special Director General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on lateral shift basis who is presently the Special DG, Border Security Forces (BSF). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a tenure up to his retirement i.e. 31.07.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is Special DG, Border Security Forces (BSF).
