Four 2004-batch IPS officers of Chhattisgarh cadre have been empanelled as IGs by the central government. Apart from Neha Champawat, Abhishek Pathak, the names of Ajay Kumar Yadav and Sanjeev Shukla were included. Out of these, IPS officer Neha Champawat has been made IG of NCRB, while IPS Abhishek Pathak has been made IG of BSF.

IPS officers Ajay Kumar Yadav and Sanjeev Shukla have also been empanelled as IGs. The order of their appointment is expected to be issued soon.
