On March 1st, the government of Odisha, via a directive issued by the Home Department, orchestrated a minor bureaucratic reshuffle in the IPS ahead of the General Assembly Elections 2024.
The names of the officers are:
Dr. Deepak Kumar (2004 batch IPS), incumbent as the IGP, NCR, Talcher, was mandated to assume charge as the IG of Police, Eastern Range, Balasore.
Mr. Satyabrata Bhoi (2004 batch IPS), incumbent as the IGP Eastern Range, Balasore, has been appointed IGP NCR, Talcher, and given additional charge as the Chairman of the Police Training Centre.
Mr. Banoth Jugal Kishore Kumar (2011 batch IPS), presently serving as the Superintendent of Police in Kendrapara, got appointed as the SP, Khurda, replacing Mr. Siddharth Kataria (2017 batch IPS), who got transferred and posted as SP, Kendrapara.
