In a significant reshuffle, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the transfer of several high-ranking officers within the All India Services cadre. The latest changes involve both IAS and IPS officers of AGMUT cadre, with several being moved to and from Chandigarh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Prerna Puri, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been moved from her current posting in Jammu & Kashmir to take on a new role in Chandigarh. Alongside her, Swapnil M Naik, an IAS officer from the 2009 batch, has also been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Chandigarh.
In a related move, Rupesh Kumar, an IAS officer of the 2019 batch, who has been serving with the Chandigarh administration, will now be posted to Jammu & Kashmir.
The reshuffle also includes notable changes in the IPS cadre. Geetanjali Khandelwal, an IPS officer from the 2015 batch, is being transferred from her role in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to Chandigarh. Additionally, Manjeet, also an IPS officer from the 2015 batch, will make the same transition from Andaman and Nicobar Islands to Chandigarh.
