In a significant reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh, the N. Chandrababu Naidu led state government has transferred and posted 16 IPS officers.
2001 batch IPS officer Vineet Brijlal, previously the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Special Investigation Branch (SIB), has been appointed as IGP for the Crime Investigation Department (CID). Meanwhile, M. Ravi Prakash, an IPS officer of 2006 batch, will now serve as IGP (P&L), and P.H.D. Ramakrishna has been assigned as IGP for Intelligence.
Among the notable changes, 2011 batch IPS officer Fakeerappa Kanigelli, formerly the Joint Commissioner of Police in Visakhapatnam, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police for Intelligence, taking over from Babujee Attada, also an IPS officer of 2011 batch, who will now report to the Police Headquarters.
2009 batch IPS officer R.N. Ammi Reddy has been posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police (Administration) at the DGP office, while Ch. Vijaya Rao will serve as DIG for Road Safety. Siddharth Kaushal is now the Additional Inspector General (AIG) for Law and Order at the A.P. Police Headquarters.
D. Mary Prasanthi has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order-II) in Visakhapatnam city, replacing Tuhin Sinha, who moves to Anakapalli as Superintendent of Police.
In other transfers, Anakapalli SP M. Deepika has been reassigned as commandant of the APSP 3rd battalion in Kakinada. G.R. Radhika will take over as Principal of the Police Training College in Ongole, succeeding K.V. Srinivas Rao, who will report to the A.P. Police Headquarters in Mangalagiri.
Additionally, K. Arif Hafeez has been designated as Superintendent of the Intelligence Security Wing (ISW), and K.S.S.V. Subba Reddy, formerly the Regional Vigilance and Enforcement Officer in Rajahmundry, will now serve as SP of the Police Transport Office. K. Tirumaleswar Reddy is set to become the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) in the NTR Police Commissionerate.
