New Delhi: NLC India Limited has launched a new green initiative under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Auroville Foundation for the provision of electric vehicles.
The project, valued at ₹21.40 lakh, is aimed at promoting clean and sustainable transportation within Auroville, while supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions and encourage eco-friendly mobility solutions.
Partnership Focused on Sustainability and Clean Energy
The collaboration between NLC India Limited and the Auroville Foundation brings together two organisations committed to environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
Under this initiative, electric vehicles will be provided to strengthen green transportation infrastructure in Auroville, supporting the community’s long-standing focus on ecological balance, renewable energy, and sustainable living practices.
Officials stated that the project aligns with broader national goals of reducing carbon emissions and accelerating the adoption of clean mobility solutions.

MoU Signing Ceremony Held with Senior Officials
The Memorandum of Understanding was formally signed during a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organisations.
