“First they doubt you, then they watch you, and finally – they applaud you.”

When destiny tests you, it doesn’t ask for your comfort – it demands your courage. When the RPSC RAS-2023 results were announced on 15th October 2025, a small, remote village named Ralawata in Kishangarh tehsil of Ajmer district erupted in celebration. The reason?

A farmer’s son, Parmeshwar Chaudhary, who once faced taunts and disbelief over his Sub-Inspector (SI) selection, had now silenced every critic by securing an extraordinary Rank 3 in the prestigious Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) examination.

He had not just cleared the exam; he had conquered every doubt thrown his way. From a Lab Assistant to Sub-Inspector, and now set to serve as an SDM, Parmeshwar’s journey is a powerful saga of resilience, self-belief, and the triumph of truth over taunts.

Journey So Far: From Lab Assistant to Sub-Inspector

Parmeshwar’s career began with small but significant milestones. In 2017, he cleared the Lab Assistant examination – his first achievement in the world of competitive exams.

However, his aspirations didn’t end there. He had already set his eyes on the RAS, one of Rajasthan’s most competitive and prestigious examinations.

In 2018, he attempted the RAS exam for the first time and cleared both Prelims and Mains, but secured 1604th rank after the interview. Instead of giving up, this setback strengthened his resolve.

In 2021, Parmeshwar appeared for the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam, where he secured an impressive 17th rank and was posted in the Nagaur Police Lines.

But destiny had other plans.

Background: A Farmer’s Son with Big Dreams

Born in Ralawata village, Ajmer district, Parmeshwar hails from a humble family. His father, Hariram Chaudhary, is a hardworking farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. No one in his family had ever stepped into the world of administration or bureaucracy before, making his success a historic moment for his family and his entire village.

Parmeshwar is deeply rooted in his rural upbringing, and his grounded nature continues to define his character even today. His story exemplifies how determination and guidance can overcome even the toughest odds.

The Early Spark: A Teacher’s Guiding Light

The seeds of ambition were sown during his 12th standard. Parmeshwar fondly remembers his village teacher, Harivallabh ji, who noticed his potential and encouraged him to dream beyond the boundaries of his village. It was this advice that first introduced him to the idea of serving in the administrative services.

That one moment of guidance changed the trajectory of his life forever.

The Taunts and the Trials: Facing the Storm

The 2021 SI recruitment became embroiled in controversy and legal disputes, with allegations of irregularities clouding the entire process.

Despite being selected purely on merit, Parmeshwar suddenly found himself at the receiving end of gossip, suspicion, and relentless taunts from people around him.

He recalls, “People started looking at me with doubt, and even my family had to endure criticism. But I want to clarify that I passed the Sub-Inspector recruitment through my hard work, and today I have cleared the RAS exam through sheer dedication.”

For any young man, enduring such public scrutiny could be demoralizing – but Parmeshwar turned this pain into power. He continued to study, believing that truth and perseverance would one day prove him right.

And they did.

The Triumph: RAS-2023, Rank 3

When the RPSC announced the RAS-2023 final results, Parmeshwar’s name shone at the 3rd position.
He was no longer the subject of whispers – he was now a symbol of perseverance and dignity.

During the RAS-2023 interview, Parmeshwar confidently answered a range of questions – from Swachh Bharat Mission and recent central government laws, to Panchayati Raj and local governance.
He was specifically asked

  • Questions about his native place and current affairs.
  • What is a general assembly in Panchayati Raj?
  • How does it work?

His composed and informed answers left a strong impression on the interview board.
This performance sealed his place among Rajasthan’s brightest minds.

Preparation Strategy: Consistency Over Intensity

Parmeshwar’s preparation philosophy was simple – consistent effort over time. He balanced his duties as a Sub-Inspector with his RAS preparation, utilizing early mornings, late nights, and every spare moment productively.

He focused on

  • Building strong conceptual clarity in Polity, History, and Rajasthan GK.
  • Regularly following current affairs through newspapers and government reports.
  • Practicing answer writing and mock interviews to strengthen articulation.
  • His mantra was discipline and dedication, even when the world doubted him.

Biggest Struggle: Battling Doubt and Disbelief

The toughest battle for Parmeshwar wasn’t academic – it was emotional. Being doubted by society, despite knowing his honesty, was painful. His family too suffered under the weight of others’ suspicion.

He says, “It was difficult to see my parents suffer because of false accusations. But I had faith that one day my hard work would speak louder than words.”

This emotional resilience became his greatest strength.

Turning Point: When Pain Became Purpose

The taunts after the SI selection became the biggest turning point in his life.
Instead of breaking him, they gave him a reason to prove his worth.
He channelized all his frustration into disciplined study, and every insult became fuel for his success.

That transformation – from wounded pride to unshakable purpose – turned him into the man who now stands among the top ranks of RAS-2023.

Continued Success: RAS-2024 Ahead

Not one to stop, Parmeshwar has also cleared the RAS-2024 Prelims and Mains, and is now preparing for the interview. His journey continues, with new ambitions to contribute meaningfully to governance and social change.

He says, “My goal now is to do something meaningful for society and inspire rural youth to pursue competitive exams.”

Message to Aspirants: Set a Goal and Persevere

Parmeshwar’s message to young aspirants is simple yet profound –

“Set a goal and persevere. If you stay consistent and honest, success is certain.”

He believes that no background is too small, no obstacle too big, and no dream too distant if one stays disciplined.

Epilogue: The Rise of Hope

Today, Sub-Inspector Parmeshwar Chaudhary is all set to don the mantle of SDM, carrying with him the humility of a farmer’s son and the wisdom of a self-made officer.

His journey from a small classroom in Ralawata village to the corridors of administrative power is not just a personal victory – it’s an anthem for every rural youth who dares to dream.

As his father, Hariram Chaudhary, proudly says, “Our son has brought respect not only to our family but to every farmer’s home.”

And indeed, Parmeshwar’s story reminds us that no amount of doubt can dim the light of true dedication.
