In a world that often celebrates specialization, Giselle Mehta stands out as a brilliant generalist: a woman whose life flows seamlessly between intellect, creativity, compassion, and enterprise.
A former officer of the Indian Revenue Service, Giselle cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 1990 and spent the first decade of her professional life in government service. But her journey didn’t stop at the corridors of bureaucracy. With a Master’s degree in International Studies and a mind attuned to both logic and imagination, she stepped into a vibrant second act: that of an entrepreneur, author, and advocate for humane causes.

Together with her husband Dharmendra Mehta, Giselle now manages multiple business ventures, while her speaking engagements showcase her intellectual depth and cross-disciplinary insights. As an Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) in Speech and Drama, she brings eloquence and emotion to every platform she graces.
Her compassion finds expression in activism, particularly for animals and the global promotion of veganism, where she has been widely acknowledged as a changemaker.
Yet, it is through her writing that Giselle’s creative essence truly blooms. Her debut novel, Blossom Showers (2011), became a national bestseller and was featured on Landmark’s fiction bestseller list. Her latest work, Vectors in the Void, weaves a captivating narrative linking World War II in Europe and the Partition of India, exploring human emotions amid the turbulence of history. The novel has earned a place on several “Must Read” lists, drawing praise from critics and readers alike.
Currently working on her third novel, Giselle believes that “creativity is a mindset at work in every waking moment.” A lifelong learner, she continues to evolve, expanding her horizons while enriching the world with her words and wisdom.
From a sharp civil servant to a soulful storyteller, Giselle Mehta’s journey proves that intellect and empathy, reason and imagination, can indeed coexist beautifully, and powerfully.
