Straight out of a crime thriller? No, its a real life story. The intern in the story is 2016-batch Indian Revenue Officer, Mr Ashok Charan, who is currently posted as Deputy Director of Income Tax (DDIT) in Income Tax wing at Jaipur. The crime he busted was tax evasion to tune of over Rs 25000 crores. He was without any security in the factory, under a threat that his cover might be blown anytime. But, not only did he perform his role perfectly, he also won the Award for Excellence by Union Finance Minister Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, for uncovering the ‘biggest ever tax evasion’ detected by the income tax department.

He could play the perfectly because Mr Ashok Charan is a natural actor. He has been playing different roles in the films being directed by his boss, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Jha, the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Rajasthan). Not only that Mr Charan has also directed a film made on the real life incident described above.
