In the heart of Uttar Pradesh’s law enforcement landscape stands a young officer whose journey from a small town in Bihar to the Indian Police Service is both inspiring and exemplary. IPS Alok Raj Narayan, a 2022 batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, embodies the spirit of dedication and service.

FOUNDATIONS OF A FUTURE OFFICER

Born on January 12, 1992, in Nawada, Bihar, Alok Raj Narayan’s early life was rooted in a modest yet supportive environment. His father, Naresh Prasad, played a pivotal role in shaping his values and aspirations.

Alok’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, followed by a Master of Arts (MA). His pursuit of knowledge continued with studies at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), institutions that laid the groundwork for his future endeavours.

THE UPSC JOURNEY

Alok’s ambition led him to the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination, where he cleared the exam in 2022. His selection for the Indian Police Service under the Uttar Pradesh cadre marked the beginning of his professional journey in law enforcement. Despite the challenges, Alok’s perseverance paid off, and he embarked on a path dedicated to public service.

STEPPING INTO THE FIELD

Upon joining the IPS, Alok underwent rigorous training, honing his skills and preparing for the challenges ahead. His first significant assignment was as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the Agra Commissionerate, where he was entrusted with maintaining law and order in a region known for its historical significance and bustling tourism. His performance in Agra earned him recognition and laid the foundation for subsequent responsibilities.

LEADERSHIP IN HARDOI

Currently, Alok serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Police in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. His jurisdiction includes the Shahabad Circle, encompassing police stations in Shahabad, Pali, Pachdevra, and Manjhila.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, he holds the additional charge of Police Lines, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in his leadership abilities. His role involves overseeing law enforcement operations, managing personnel, and ensuring the safety and security of the public.

A PROMISING FUTURE AHEAD

IPS Alok Raj Narayan’s journey from Nawada, Bihar, to a distinguished position in the Uttar Pradesh Police Service is a proof of his dedication and commitment to public service.
