He wanted to excel in theatre. Had many friends who were doing theatre in Delhi in late 1980s and who finally became big names in Bollywood. He made some ad films, participated in an international wildlife film production. But, fate had something else in store for him and he became a bureaucrat, joined Indian Revenue Service in 1991. Yet, time hasn’t abated any of his passions. One may feel amazed how he still gets time to regularly play tennis, billiards, snooker, occasional cricket matches, do paintings, go on wildlife photography expeditions, make documentaries and even some feature films. Not only this, he is also President of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Officers Association. And he is also an IT officer who has been grooming young officers for past 21 years into experts on detecting tax evasions across the country. Please watch the interview to find out how he accomplishes this and much more.

He has recently been honoured by the Finance Minister Ms Nirmala Seetharaman for meritorious services rendered to the income tax department. His next celluloid production is due for premier shortly.
