Some journeys are about more than ranks and results. They are about courage, family support and the determination to keep moving forward despite life's toughest challenges.
Vishwas Jhargad from Changatpuri village in Maharashtra's Paithan district lost his father when he was just six months old. By the time he reached Class 3, he had lost his mother too.
But he never allowed these circumstances to define his future.
With the constant support of his grandfather, uncle, aunt, maternal uncle and elder sisters, Vishwas continued his education and pursued his dream of joining the Central Armed Police Forces.
He began preparing for the UPSC CAPF examination in 2023 at Vidya Prabodhini, Kolhapur. His hard work finally paid off when he secured All India Rank 145 in the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants Examination 2025.
But one moment from his journey touched many hearts.
When Vishwas reached the UPSC office in New Delhi for his interview, he carried a photograph of his late mother. He wanted her to be part of a moment she could not live to witness.
Speaking to Indian Masterminds, he said:
“The hard work and love that my family has given me have turned into gold today.”
Watch this emotional and inspiring story of Vishwas Jhargad, whose achievement is a tribute to his determination and the family that stood by him.
