After CBI and IB chiefs, will it be the turn of Delhi police commissioner Sanjay Arora to get extension in tenure? If everything goes as decided it seems Arora is headed for an extension for a year in service, say those who keep a watch on pulse of power corridors. The 1988 batch IPS officer from Tamil Nadu cadre was an unusual choice as commissioner of Delhi police when he has handpicked by Union home minister Amit Shah to lead the police in national capital in 2022. He was serving as the chief of ITBP when sent to take charge of Delhi police. He is slated to retire on July 31 this year, unless given an extension.
