The Punjab government on Wednesday appointed IPS officer Kanwardeep Kaur as the first Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the newly created Malerkotla district in Punjab. Kaur was currently serving as SSP of Kapurthala district.
Apart from this, IAS officer Amrit Kaur Gill has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Malerkotla. Gill was currently holding the charge of DC Fatehgarh Sahib.
Replacing Gill, IAS officer Surabhi Malik was appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Fatehgarh Sahib. Whereas, PPS officer Harkamalpreet Singh has been made the Kapurthala SSP replacing Kanwardeep Kaur.
