In a major reshuffle at administrative level, Mamata Banerjee’s government in West Bengal has transferred and posted 10 IAS officers. All the officers will take the new charge with immediate effect as per the notification. The recent order also affected senior IAS officer Subrata Gupta. The 1990 batch officer who is currently the principle secretary of Food processing Industries and Horticulture department will now take the charge as Additional Chief-Secretary of the same department.
The 2012 batch officers Vibhu Goel and Abhishek Kumar Tiwari has been posted as DC Purba Medinipur and Joint Secretary Higher education department respectively.
Mr. Shashank Sethi, a 2010 batch officer has been appointed as Collector of Darjeeling while Sumit Gupta will take charge as DC North 24 Parganas. A 2007 batch officer Moumita Godara Basu has been posted as DM, Jalpaiguri. She was currently the executive magistrate of the same district.
Ms. Sujata Ghosh has been transferred and posted as Commissioner – UD & MA Department. Meanwhile Mukta Arya has given the additional charge of Commissioner – Howrah Municipal Corporation. She is currently the DC of the same district. Ms. Ujjaini Dutta and Dhaval Jain has also been assigned with new responsibility. Mr. Jain has been posted as Member Secretary – West Bengal Valuation Board.
