Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on April 12 released the 33rd installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana, transferring ₹1,836 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 1.25 crore women beneficiaries across the state.

The CM made the announcement while addressing a Women Empowerment Conference in Ashta, Sehore district.

‘Vande Mataram’ Row: CM Targets Congress

In a politically charged address, CM Yadav criticized the Indian National Congress, stating that “Vande Mataram” is an ode to Mother India and should not be viewed through a religious lens.

He accused the party of indulging in vote-bank politics and undermining national unity.

Women Empowerment and Reservation Highlighted

The Chief Minister highlighted the Centre’s push for 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies, calling it a historic step under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said this move will open new opportunities for women in governance and leadership roles.

Focus on Welfare and Self-Reliance

CM Yadav outlined several welfare achievements:

  • Over 6.5 million women linked to Self-Help Groups
  • More than 12 lakh ‘Lakhpati Didis’ in the state
  • Financial support under schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana

He emphasized the government’s vision to transform women from beneficiaries into entrepreneurs.

The Chief Minister announced multiple development initiatives, including:

  • New ITI in Ashta
  • Girls’ hostel construction
  • Irrigation and barrage projects
  • Urban development and beautification works
  • Expansion of educational facilities

These initiatives are expected to boost employment, infrastructure, and regional growth.

Support for Farmers Amid Weather Damage

Addressing farmers’ concerns, CM Yadav assured:

  • Immediate survey of crop damage due to unseasonal rains
  • Compensation through insurance and disaster relief funds
  • Quick financial assistance in case of losses

Towards ‘Developed Madhya Pradesh’

Reiterating the government’s vision, the Chief Minister said the state is moving steadily towards:

  • Inclusive growth
  • Women-led development
  • Infrastructure expansion
  • Economic self-reliance

He said such initiatives are part of the broader goal of building a “Viksit Bharat” and “Viksit Madhya Pradesh.”
