The DPC of 25 PCS officers in Uttar Pradesh has been completed today after which the officers got promoted to IAS. The names of 30 PCS officers were sent to the Departmental Promotion Committee but the committee approved the names of only 25 of these officers and the five others have not been promoted to IAS. All the officers belong to the 1998, 1999 and 2000 batches. The list of officers was sent to the central government last month.
The officers who have been promoted include 1998 officers Ashok Kumar, Mahendra Prasad, Gaurav Verma and Rajneesh Chandra. 1999 – 2000 batch officers Manoj Kumar Rai, Nidhi Srivastava, Khempal Singh, Sanjay Chauhan, Sunil Kumar Chaudhary, Santosh Kumar Sharma, Arun Kumar II, Shyam Bahadur Singh, Pawan Kumar Gangwar, Brijesh Kumar, Harikesh Chaurasia, Mahendra Singh, Ravindra Singh. Others are Pal Singh, Anil Kumar, Vandana Tripathi, Archana Gaharwar, Sameer, Kumar Vineet, Vishal Singh, Dhananjay Shukla and Kapil Singh.
The officers who were excluded from the list of promotions by DPC are Bhishma Lal Verma, Ghanshyam Singh, Harish Chandra, Sriprakash Gupta and Prabhu Nath In Uttar Pradesh.
23 PCS officers have already been promoted against 25 vacancies for the selection year 2018-19. It is believed that officers with investigation or departmental action in DPC have not been promoted.
Before the UP assembly elections, transfers from big officers to small officers have taken place in the state. Recently, a large number of PCS officers were transferred in the state. After this, 115 inspectors of Lucknow range were transferred from one place to another on Thursday. IG Lucknow Zone Laxmi Singh has ordered the superintendents of police of Unnao, Kheri, Sitapur, Lucknow Rural, Hardoi and Rae Bareli to transfer these inspectors with immediate effect.
